Morimoto also gives you control over the look, allowing the DRLs to run in white or amber while the turn signals can be configured for sequential operation or a smooth fade effect. At the heart of the LF2-503 XB EVO headlights are four Type 1 Ishida Optic Bi LED projectors per housing, each powered by an automotive grade Nichia LED for carefully controlled output. The resulting beam pattern is engineered to provide strong intensity and broad distribution while meeting DOT, SAE, and FMVSS108 requirements with the included standard drivers. Vertical adjustment of plus or minus six degrees gives owners room to properly aim the headlights, which is especially useful on Super Duty trucks with altered ride heights or suspension setups. For cold weather operation, a logic controlled 50 watt ceramic heating system works with circulation fans to help reduce frost buildup on the polycarbonate lenses when conditions demand it. The lenses receive Morimoto's proprietary UV resistant hard coating, while OE grade wiring and connections are used throughout the assemblies to support long term durability. Additionally, the included mode selectors provide configurable white or amber DRLs along with sequential or fade style turn signal operation, letting the electronics handle customization without requiring complicated modifications.
