The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is designed specifically to be a comprehensive upgrade and enhancement over the OE 6.7L, fixing its issues and improving upon it. Utilizing CNC blueprinting, Choate precisely aligns the crankshaft with the engine block, ensuring smooth operation without friction. The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse includes new head gaskets, studs, bed seals, lifters, rear cover gasket, rear main seal, OE harmonic balancer, and flywheel. Additionally, Choate's 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is also fully balanced and ready to be installed.
Choate Engineering improves upon the OE Ford 6.7L engine with their upgraded and enhanced 6.7L Full Running Workhorse. Among these issues is the Main and Rod bearing clearance problems in the OE 6.7L. Choate's remedy involves precision machining to achieve the correct clearances and the utilization of upgraded bearings engineered to withstand heightened stress levels the OE cannot. Another concern is the potential separation of OE 6.7L exhaust valves, which can lead to compression loss and piston contact, resulting in catastrophic engine failure. To avoid this, Choate adds heavy-duty valves capable of sustaining high temperatures without separating. The OE 6.7L engines frequently suffer from cam tunnel misalignment. Choate addresses this issue by using their proprietary bearings to ensure perfect alignment.
