Choate Engineering upgraded the original 6.7L Powerstroke design with their 6.7L Full Running Workhorse, pushing it to greater levels. Engineered to handle heavy loads and tough tasks effortlessly, this robust engine is tailored to meet heavy duty demands. It boasts upgrades surpassing the Choate Engineering Daily Driver model, including O-Ringed Heads, Billet Flex Plate, Coated Pistons, Fly Cut and Delipped Pistons, Stage 2 Cam, Chromoly Pushrods, and Welded Cam Gear. Fully assembled and equipped for easy installation, the Choate Engineering 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is primed to deliver excellent performance with all installation essentials included.

Heavy Duty Upgraded 6.7L

Choate Engineering has designed their 6.7L Full Running Workhorse to be a comprehensive upgrade over the OE 6.7L. Utilizing CNC blueprinting, Choate precisely aligns the crankshaft with the engine block, ensuring smooth operation without friction. The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse includes new head gaskets, studs, bed seals, lifters, rear cover gasket, rear main seal, OE harmonic balancer, and flywheel. Additionally, Choate's 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is also fully balanced.

Choate Engineering solves common issues found in the OE 6.7L with their 6.7L Full Running Workhorse. One common issue with the OE 6.7L is Main and Rod bearing clearance problems. Choate's solution involves machining for the correct clearances and using upgraded bearings designed to handle higher levels of stress. Another common problem is the separation of OE exhaust valves, which can lead to lost compression and piston contact, resulting in catastrophic failure. To prevent this, Choate uses heavy-duty valves that can withstand high heat without separating. Additionally, cam tunnel misalignment is common in the OE 6.7L. Choate addresses this issue by using proprietary bearings to ensure perfect alignment. • All 6.7 Powerstroke balanced assemblies from Choate Engineering come with the updated 6-bolt flexplate from 2013+ and require the customer to update the torque converter or purchase one from us directly.
• Before purchasing please verify the year model engine is compatible with your truck. 6.7 Powerstrokes Came stock from Ford with a 8-bolt flexplate and torque converter that are no longer manufactured.
