Choate has taken the 6.7L Powerstroke to the next level of durability and performance with their 6.7L Full Running Workhorse. Built to easily handle heavy duty towing and demanding tasks, this sturdy engine is specifically engineered to meet heavy-duty requirements. It has enhancements that surpass the Choate Engineering Daily Driver model, including O-Ringed Heads, Billet Flex Plate, Coated Pistons, Fly Cut and Delipped Pistons, Stage 2 Cam, Chromoly Pushrods, and Welded Cam Gear. The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is engineered for heavy-duty work and has greatly improved durability over the OE 6.7L Fully assembled and equipped for easy installation, the Choate Engineering 6.7L Full Running Workhorse will stand up to the heavy-duty tasks you require.

Improves and Enhances OE 6.7L

The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is designed specifically to be a comprehensive upgrade and enhancement over the OE 6.7L, fixing its issues and improving upon it. Utilizing CNC blueprinting, Choate precisely aligns the crankshaft with the engine block, ensuring smooth operation without friction. The 6.7L Full Running Workhorse includes new head gaskets, studs, bed seals, lifters, rear cover gasket, rear main seal, OE harmonic balancer, and flywheel. Additionally, Choate's 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is also fully balanced and ready to be installed.

Choate Engineering improves upon the OE Ford 6.7L engine with their upgraded and enhanced 6.7L Full Running Workhorse. Among these issues is the Main and Rod bearing clearance problems in the OE 6.7L. Choate's solution involves precision machining to achieve the correct clearances and the utilization of upgraded bearings engineered to withstand heightened stress levels the OE cannot. Another concern is the potential separation of OE 6.7L exhaust valves, which can lead to compression loss and piston contact, resulting in catastrophic engine failure. To avoid this, Choate adds heavy-duty valves capable of sustaining high temperatures without separating. The OE 6.7L engines frequently experience cam tunnel misalignment. Choate fixes this issue by using their proprietary bearings to ensure perfect alignment. Choate Engineering's 6.7L Full Running Workhorse is the best choice for the durability and power required to handle heavy-duty work.

  • Before purchasing please verify the year model engine is compatible with your truck. 6.7 Powerstrokes Came stock from Ford with a 8-bolt flexplate and torque converter that are no longer manufactured.
