Crafted to surpass the performance of the OE 6.6L and embody the standard it should have set from the factory, Choate Engineering's Duramax 6.6L LML Long Block Daily Driver is a standout choice. Employing full CNC blueprint machining, this engine showcases precision engineering of the highest caliber. Choate meticulously aligns the crankshaft with the engine block through precise boring and line honing, guaranteeing seamless operation. They bore the block back to the crankshaft centerline and hone it to an RA13 finish, further minimizing friction. Surpassing factory specifications, the cylinder block is surfaced to a finish of RA30 or lower, ensuring superior flatness and smoothness for the block-to-head sealing surface. Additionally, Choate includes a comprehensive array of components, from a new rear main seal to upgraded pistons, OE lifters, lifter guides, OE Crank Flange bolts, and the latest 9.800 OE pushrods. The Crankshaft undergoes meticulous balancing and inspection for runout. With their Duramax 6.6L LML Long Block Daily Driver, Choate Engineering has truly gone the extra mile to guarantee its reliability and durability.

Build Features: - Our Built-In-House Heads – Pressure Test Heads, Grind Valves, New Induction Hardened Seats, All New Valve Guides, Install New Valve Seals, Test Spring Tension, New Freeze Plugs, New Injector Cups.
- Head Studs included in our Daily Driver build, New Head Gaskets
- We bore the block back to the crankshaft center line and hone the block to RA13 finish.
- The piston diameter measured to the nearest .0001 inch matched to cylinder bores.
- The Cylinder block is surfaced to a finish of RA30 or lower, which meets the factory specification in both flatness and smoothness for the block to head sealing surface.
- Connecting Rods, New Damper and Flex plate for Automatic transmission.
- Check both wrist pin and crank pin to rod clearances
- New upgraded Pistons .10 – .30 inch over – New Pistons, Rings, Pin retainers weight matched prior to crank balancing
- New OE lifters, lifter guides, OE Crank Flange Bolts, updated 9.800 OE Pushrods
- Crankshaft – Balanced with the Rotational assembly checked for run-out inspected for fatigue.
