With robust chromoly pistons, a stage 2 camshaft, O-ringed heads, coated, flycut, and delipped pistons, along with head studs, a fresh flex plate, and harmonic balancer, the 6.6L Short Block Workhorse offers enhanced durability and performance compared to the original equipment. Choate Engineering solves potential issues that the OE 6.6L had. One issue is the pistons being a failure point, the wrist pin bushings fail, thus Choate updated the pistons to be a press in bushing rather than using a wrist pin. Choate Engineering's 6.6L Workhorse Short Block is not just a replacement for the OE 6.6L, it's an upgrade that adds impressive durability.
