At the heart of this build are D&J X-Beam billet connecting rods. Unlike stock rods that can bend or break under high stress, these billet units are engineered to handle extreme cylinder pressures, making them ideal for high-horsepower street and competition setups. A major weak point in factory Cummins engines is head gasket failure under high boost. This long block solves that issue with a fire-ringed cylinder head and custom-machined grooves for superior head-to-block sealing. Combined with ARP 9/16” head studs, this setup prevents head lift, ensuring a tight, secure seal even under extreme boost conditions. If you're running compounds or a large single turbo, this is exactly the kind of reinforcement your engine needs. Every component in this long block is precision-machined and fully blueprinted for maximum reliability. The included Stage 1 High-Performance Cylinder Head is 5-axis CNC-ported to increase airflow, allowing the engine to breathe better at high RPMs. It also features heavy-duty bronze valve guides and oversized intake and exhaust seats to improve longevity and maintain precise valve operation. More airflow means better throttle response, improved fuel atomization, and lower exhaust gas temperatures, all of which contribute to a more efficient and powerful engine. For a hassle-free installation, this long block comes fully assembled and pre-lubed with break-in oil. It includes an oil pan, front timing cover, and machined rocker box, so there’s no need to source additional components. Designed as a direct replacement for 2004.5-2007 Ram 5.9L Cummins trucks, this engine is built to bolt right in, making the swap as seamless as possible.
