If you’re pushing your L5P Duramax hard—whether towing, tuning, or just looking for better throttle response—your factory boost tubes might be holding you back. The Banks Boost Tube Upgrade Kit is built to fix that. This isn’t just a cosmetic swap—it’s a serious performance upgrade designed to increase airflow, reduce boost pressure loss, and help your turbo spool quicker with less effort. Banks replaces the factory’s restrictive 2.5" plastic piping with full 3.5" mandrel-bent aluminized steel tubes. That extra diameter makes a big difference. On the hot side, airflow jumps from 388 CFM to 490 CFM. The cold side sees even bigger gains—up to 635 CFM compared to the stock 435. That translates into smoother power delivery, quicker response, and more efficient boost all around.
To help maintain the increase in pressure, Banks engineered billet aluminum venturi couplers that not only hold up under pressure but actually help guide airflow to reduce turbulence. Everything is held together with heavy-duty 5-ply silicone couplers and spring-loaded constant-tension clamps, so you won’t have to worry about leaks or blown connections under load. Installation is straightforward, and the kit works with your factory intercooler and intake components. It’s the kind of upgrade you can feel right away—quicker throttle, stronger pulls, and a turbo that doesn’t have to work as hard to do its job.
