The ATS Thermal Bypass Valve is a must-have for any truck with a 68-RFE or Aisin ASC69RC transmission along with the Dodge HEMI that comes equipped with 545RFE, 65RFE, or 66RFE transmissions. Dodge intended their OEM component to force the transmission to warm up faster, but the reality is the bypass valve leaks and then stick in the bypass position in almost every single case, essentially eliminating the trans cooler from the circuit. This results in severe failure in the transmission which causes you more hassles down the road. In order to deliver consistent transmission performance for your truck, ATS designed this unit to bypass your truck's faulty design and ensures 100% of the trans cooler flow is forced through the trans cooler. Billet Filter Adapter Included

An additional part that can get damaged by the heat allowed to pass through the factory bypass valve is the OEM plastic filter coupler. Included in this kit comes a Billet Filter Coupler to ensure the filter has a solid mounting point that won't be compromised by higher temperatures or accidental over-tightening. This Bypass Valve can be mounted directly in place of your existing components to make the installation process as simple and straightforward as possible.
