The actual filter on this S&B Cold Air Intake is much larger than your factory air filter which result in better performance and more protection for your engine. This particular unit comes standard with a cotton cleanable 8-layer filter that does a much better job at keeping dust and debris from entering the engine. This allows this intake to better combat inclement weather and extreme driving applications without compromise. Additionally, the filter edges and couplers were constructed from premium silicone to climate sliding off the tube while handling the high temperatures of your aggressive applications.
