The air gets filtered with the Pro 5R filter and its 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media. This filter features a 100% polyurethane construction that makes it more durable and extends the cleaning cycles. When hot air starts to come in, the molded plastic intake is heat-insulated, so that none of the heat escapes and damages any other engine components. The intake tube is designed to maximize the amount of air that can come in at any one time, so that you can maximize performance.
