Your UltraHook Shackle Mount provides a secure attachment point for both recovery straps and cables; however, you can add even more security to the system with the Factor 55 Latch Kit and Locking Pin! The latch kit is designed to fit onto the opening of the UltraHook Shackle Mount, and consists of a metal latch that can be opened and closed, similar to a gate. The purpose of the latch is to secure the recovery strap or cable within the UltraHook and prevent it from accidentally disengaging during any winching operations. This adds an extra layer of safety by keeping the connection intact without compromise. What's more, the locking pin is used to further secure the latch in the closed position. It's inserted through a hole in both the latch and UltraHook, preventing the latch from opening inadvertently. The locking pin provides additional peace of mind by ensuring the latch remains securely closed, even under heavy loads or vibrations.
